Reginka's Lesson

Reginka’s Lesson is a funny-sad one-hander about a feisty elderly holocaust survivor, Reginka, who takes up the recorder to please her neurotic daughter but finds that life hasn't finished testing her.

Reginka’s Lesson is a poignant, heartwarming play about endurance, humour and ruthless rivalry in the senior citizens' recorder band.

It won the Sydney Theatre Company Short Play Prize and the Elizabethan Theatre Trust Biennial Play Award and was nominated for Writers' Guild Best Stage Play Award. It premiered at the Festival Centre, Adelaide, in a Stage Company production starring Myra de Groot, the well-known star from TV's Neighbours.

Reginka's Lesson is published by Currency Press and can be purchased via bookshops, online book sites or by contacting Currency Press direct.
